Guided Sail

We are excited to introduce Guided Sail – a new class opportunity launched for the 2023 sailing season! Guided Sail is an on-the-water hands on class for beginning sailors. This class replaces First Sail and Informal Instruction.

Guided Sail is designed to give new members (green-yellow ratings) time to practice their skills, with an instructor right in the boat! This class is an hour and a half on the water in a Mercury with a trained CBI instructor. Members get time on the tiller to practice all the basics; steering, sail trim, tacking, gybing, landing, and everything they need to be prepared for Mainsail classes. Sessions last one and a half hours, each boat will typically have one instructor and two students. This offering can be used as a first opportunity to get on the water, or even prep for a yellow test!
