Junior Racing Program

The Junior Racing Program offers Junior members the opportunity to learn racing from the beginner level through the most advanced. The Race Team has an exciting schedule filler with regattas and series at Community Boating and many other clubs in the area.

Prerequisites: Sailors must get their Laser, 420, or Windsurf Basic rating by taking the appropriate class. The class will cover the basics of sailing the boat and provide an introduction to racing. Juniors with prior racing experience may meet with the coach to discuss a check-out to skip the class.

The Race Teams will run one week sessions throughout the summer; racers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions. The sessions will include daily practices, CBI weekly racing series, and the 420 and Laser Teams will travel to area regattas (additional registration fees may apply for regattas). A detailed regatta schedule will be available online and in the front office at the start of the season.
