Junior Classes

CBI's Junior Program offers sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking classes for kids ages 10 to 18. All CBI Instructors have their US Sailing Level One Instructor certification and First Aid and CPR certifications from the Red Cross. To participate in the Junior Program, kids must have parental permission and must be able to swim at least 75 yards. The program runs from Monday June 14th to Friday August 20th, Monday-Friday 9 AM to 3 PM.

Class registration opens on May 1st. Before registering for classes, you must submit a completed application with $1 payment and proof of swimming.

Junior Class Schedules

Below are class schedules for the 2010 Junior Program. Registration for all classes listed below opens on May 1st, except Mercury 1 classes that specify a different sign up date.

The Junior Program Learn To Sail classes are now full for the 2010 season. CBI will not be able to accommodate any additional Juniors who are new to sailing now that these classes are full. Sailors with prior experience at CBI or elsewhere will still have the opportunity to sign-up for more advanced classes.

To register for Mercury 1 classes that open on Monday mornings, please call the Front Office after 9:00am.  If you do not get through, please keep calling rather than leaving a message!  Sign-ups will occur in the order that the Front Office staff speak to registrants, and messages may not be checked until later in the day.
