12 Meter Sailing 9/19

Come join us for sailing and racing on one of two 12 meter yachts in Newport, Rhode Island on Sunday, September 19th.  CBI members can reserve positions (14 are available on each boat) for just $200 per person. Have the chance to sail on boats used for the America’s Cup. Susanna Burgett Memorial Regatta 9/11

On Saturday, September 11th, 2010, Community Boating will host the Susanna Burgett Memorial fundraising regatta in memory of CBI member, Susanna, who passed in 2008 from Metastatic Cancer. The semi-formal regatta will start at 2pm with a cookout/ bbq on the dock at 6pm; beverages sponsored by Harpoon brewery, burgers sponsored by b.good hamburgers, and music and dancing from Festive Events DJ. Ticket price is $45, and all proceeds benefit Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. See the event website or contact the Front Office to sign up!

Introduction to Racing Seminar--9/12

Tiller Club Vice-Commodore Roy Epstein will once again conduct a Learn to Race Seminar on Sunday, September 12th at 11am. No prior knowledge of racing rules is needed. All on-the-water program for new racers.  Practice your starts and mark roundings in actual races.  Rules will be explained and real-time advice will be given.
Rig your boat and look for the race committee skiff in mid-river.  First race at 11:30.
